Misschien hou ik dit blog ook wel gewoon, dan hoeft de naam niet verloren te gaan. Die nieuwe site wordt echt een SITE, met WERK in plaats van geklets. Site bestaat al, maar hij verandert nog de hele tijd. http://bloemenjansje.com/works (wordt waarschijnlijk ook nog een ‘zelfstandige’ URL)

I guess a ‘found photograph’ concept wouldn’t really work because people might consider it plagiarism…

And yes! I really enjoyed Oerol, even though 3 days is way too short. Next year I plan on going all week. The play I saw was a part human, part doll play on ‘the real story’ of Sneeuwwitje, by Theater Gnaffel.

The camera was empty when I got it, I would definitely have developed any used film! That’s like the concept of a ‘found manuscript’ that a lot of writers used as a marketing tool for their books about two centuries ago.

And Oerol was nice as usual, crowded, laid-back. Was the ‘Zwart als inkt’ show the drawing machine? Because I saw that too, but I guess that wasn’t really a play. But I take it you enjoyed it too?

Didn’t the camera already carry an old film when he arrived at your doorstep? If so, did you get it developed?

Btw, how did you like Oerol? I saw the ‘Zwart als Inkt’ play and took a picture of an apple with a bite too.

Days off for some religious reason always surprise me too. Never read the Bible, never feel like I should, but still I get those days.
And in Amsterdam you hardly notice them anyway, because the main supplier of everything we need (AH) is always open.

Speaking of Bank Holidays, did you know they’re called that way because originally the Bank of England didn’t do business during religious celebrations?
I like the fact that those days, even though they celebrate something religious, are called after something so secular.
